Off the Record
A good editor knows when to say nothing. This page describes what we hold about readers, and what we do not say.
On file
- Subscription details: email, a salted password hash, your name, your birthday, your gender and your byline entries.
- Your chats, plus the short notes each woman scribbles about you.
- A session cookie, and a second that shows you tore the sleeve.
- Payment records: an amount and a transfer reference, nothing else. No card is accepted, so none is held.
- Server logs, kept briefly for security.
What it is for
To run the chats, enforce the code and keep the presses going. Your lines pass through a model that lives on our hardware, or at a vendor tied to that single job, and an automated check reads them for safety. No buyer exists for your chats, and no advertiser sees them.
Circulation figures
A plain counter tallies visits and rough regions, and never reads your messages.
Pulling a story
In each chat's menu, her notes can be edited, exported as a copy or deleted outright. To remove your whole account, write to the editor, using the address you registered. Where your own law grants extra rights, say so and we will follow it.
